NSS
The college has vibrant N.S.S., Career Counseling Cell, Red Cross unit, J.K.C and Sports Departments. Among the notable achievements, N.S.S. unit of the college is very much committed to instill the virtue of social service and moral values among the students. It has three N.S.S. wings and regular annual camps are held in remote villages. Mr. G.V.S. Koteswara Rao and Smt. A. Sarala, Mr. T.C.Yesuratnam, as a N.S.S. Programme Officers of our college. They are committed to promote plantation, carry awareness campaign on issues related to environment, AIDS Awareness Camps, Clean and Green and Janma Bhoomi , Neeru- Meeru, Swacha Bharat and other activities. Three NSS Special camps Kolamuru, Konthamuru and Allcotgardens by our NSS units. Our Red Ribbon club organized Aids Awareness Camp under the able guidance of Kum. Padmaja, Lecturer in Commerce.
SPORTS AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Regarding games and sports, students of the college have participated in different games at the state, National and university levels. We have a big play ground for outdoor; Indore games and also Utilized Gymnasium and many events are held in the institution every year. Under the coaching of our Physical Director Sri. P.A. Kishore Babu, our students got number of prizes from various Games and Sports. Foot Ball and Basket Ball summer camps conducted in our campus.
YOUTH RED CROSS
Youth Red Cross unit activates are conducted under the supervision of Y.R.C. Coordinator Dr. D.V. Ramana Murthy and Assistant coordinator Dr.G.N.V.A.B.S. Mahalakshmi and other advisory members. It is very happy to state that all the students of our college are enrolled as Youth Red Cross Volunteers rendering of their services in various activities. The Y.R.C. of our college organizes blood donation, Children’s day, World Environment day, Aids Awareness Rally and health check up camps. Three days Y R C Unit conducted Disaster management training class organized. About hundred students have donated blood every year. Three Y.R.C. Volunteers, Mr. Posina Veera Ravi Teja, Mr. Kumari Sandeep, Mr. Kodamanchili Prudviraj participated in the Republic Parade at Kakinada on 26th January 2020.
JAWAHER KNOWLEDGE CENTRE
Jawahar Knowledge Centre is started in the college, from April 2008. J.K.C plays an active role by organizing General Knowledge and Competitive Examination and Job oriented classes were organized by the J.K.C. Coordinator Sri G. Sarat Babu, and other advisory members. Faculty members are motivated to design contemporary, skill based and value – added courses. Mr. G. Sarat Babu, working as a N.I.R.F. Coordinator and A.I.S.H.E. Coordinator. He prepares all the college data and submits to the Indian Government.
CAREER GUIDANCE CELL
In addition to the Regular Curricular, Career Guidence Cell was established in March 2009. It has been running the following programmes to enhance employability skills of our college students
The coaching programmes are related to B.S.R.B.,R.R.RB, L.I.C., A.P.P.S.C.and other career oriented competitive examinations, personality development skills, Computer skills and Communication skills. All the students of our college are eligible to join the above mentional programmes. The career guidance cell run by Dr. D.V.Ramana Murthy, S.G. Lecturer in Statistics.
ANDHRA UNIVERSITY DISTANCE EDUCATION STUDY CENTRE
Andhra University Distance Education established a Study Centre in S.K.V.T.College in the month of January 2011. Week-end classes are conducted for I, II and Final Year B.A and B.Com students. Principal as a coordinator and Dr. G.Venkata Ramana, Reader in Chemistry acts as a Asst. coordinator of this Study Centre.
